ConFetch Plug-ins are site and server blocking plug-ins for TreeWalk DNS "Hawk" version 8.21 ((minimum)) that offer protection from objectionable domains by resolving their filtered names to your computer's local 0.0.0.0 address. You can even choose your own filtering level from one of the many installer programs which are designed to incrementally increase your block list's size, or even customize it further with "ConFetch PRO, LSE or Ultra".

After all, it's YOUR computer or network and you should be able to block anything you want if it helps to stop unscrupulous web sites from connecting to you, right? Well, thanks to the incredible TreeWalk Personal DNS Caching Server program you can use ConFetch to help you do that with Windows 2000 or XP 32-bit Microsoft Operating Systems. ConFetch Ultra is the only version that runs on 32-bit and 64-bit Windows platforms for the aforementioned OS and is the only version capable of running on Vista (with UAC disabled, that is), on either x86 or x64 architecture.

ConFetch works equally well with either the FREE or Licensed versions of TreeWalk. TreeWalk DNS is a Domain Name Server program which fetches and converts Web Site human-readable names into the numbered addresses your computer needs so that your browser, email, instant messenger, and FTP programs can surf the Web. For Microsoft Windows® XP/2000/.NET and 2003 workstations or servers. You can obtain a copy of the program by using the TreeWalk link provided on the left side of most pages on the ConFetch site.*

You can use TreeWalk and ConFetch to:

Block advertising scripts known to originate from other servers
· if you see the ads on this page, you're not using ConFetch!
· this can increase the speed of browsing the Internet in most cases
(Additionally) blacklist known DNS Poisoners with TreeWalk DNS
· TreeWalk is not susceptible to DNS cache poisoning if used properly
